Safety has always been crucially important, but capturing the results of regular inspections and incident inspections in the field, we have very current information available on all carriers including interstate and intrastate, hazmat and non-hazmat. We obtain monthly feed of the Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) data of safety inspection and violation and link to our database of more than 20,000 carriers.

This information is immediately available to all customer service representatives and dispatch personnel. When we see an alarming number of violations in relation to inspections, or an alarming number of inspections in relation to the size of the fleet, it raises a red flag. Red flags are cause for alarm and result in a conversation with the management of the carrier to determine the cause. Frequently, poor driver management along with a lack of proper fleet maintenance is often a sign of bigger problems. These kinds of problems are best handled sooner rather than later as they can lead to an impact on customer service and responsiveness.
